When you compare the Xbox-360 and Playstion 3 side-by-side, the Xbox-360 is the clear winner as far as features go. The Xbox-360 can connect to computers, has Xbox Live, as well as the Xbox Live Guide. Yes, these features are awesome.

Theres only one problem. The Xbox-360 hardware breaks every 3 months or so. Its very evident that Microsoft did a mediocre job testing their hardware before it was released to the gaming public. The fail rate of the Playstation 3 is under 1%, while the Xbox-360 is over 25%. The Playstation 3 runs smoothly and has great features that will surpass the Xbox-360 in the long run.

“Home” will clearly stop Xbox Live in it’s tracks. The Playstation 3 6-axis controller also adds to the excitement (although it feels as if it was not fully tested, it can still add to the excitement of gameplay). The Playstation 3 also comes equipped with a “Blu-Ray” player, which is clearly the future of games and DVD’s. The Playstation 3 is a great value when you look at it in the long run. Sony is doing a great job anticipating various updates such as “Home”. At this point, we can only hope Sony lives up to their word.

I marked all 1’s so as to make sure you read this: Every buyer should know (but probably doesn’t) that the PS3 80GB, 20GB, and 40 GB model’s DO NOT offer the same backwards compatability (play your old PS2 games). They instead have emulators, where as the 60GB model has the actual CHIP to read the old games. Don’t be fooled by sony’s price cut, it had a reason.
