Is it going to be the buyer or the seller?

Another tip is to be on the lookout for signs that the seller’s website is safe before you actually give them your personal and financial information. A locked padlock on your browser’s status bar is usually a good indicator that the website is secure. You should also consider what payment method you will be using when making an online purchase. Normally, the safest payment method is through credit card because they come with controls that provide automatic buyer protection.

Remember to check out the price of the item that you intend to buy and do comparison shopping online. Make sure that the incentives being offered by the seller (such as “free shipping”) have no strings attached. Lastly, keep a record of your online transaction so that you have proof in the event that any problem comes up.
